Blueprint for Life/Work Designs... maps out the life/work competencies Canadians need to master in order to pro-actively and self-reliantly manage their career-building process from K-Adult. It provides administrators and practitioners with a systematic process for developing, implementing, evaluating and marketing career development programs or redesigning and enhancing existing programs.

For an overview of the Blueprint for Life/Work Designs, please visit the Blueprint website at... http://www.blueprint4life.ca

Blueprint Implementation Guide... a first edition of the Blueprint Implementation Guide is now complete. It has been developed to help Blueprint Facilitators present the Blueprint for Life/Work Designs to individuals or groups interested in acquiring a greater understanding of this framework and it’s diverse applications. It provides Blueprint Facilitators with strategies and sample activities to design and conduct Blueprint Orientation or Implementation Sessions.

In order to efficiently use the Blueprint Implementation Guide, facilitators will first need preparation to assist them with the use of the guide, the planning of workshops and presentations to potential Blueprint users. For this purpose a series of Blueprint orientation and leadership training sessions were held in Vancouver in October 2002, and a second series is planned for late 2003 and early 2004 in a variety of locations across British Columbia.

Two types of sessions are being scheduled...

Blueprint Orientation Sessions... provide an orientation to use and application of the Blueprint Implementation Guide. Those who come to the orientation do not need prior knowledge or experience with the Blueprint.
Blueprint Leadership Sessions... by participating in the Leadership Sessions, persons with Blueprint knowledge and experience will learn how to use the guide to tailor orientation sessions and/or conduct workshops on specific Blueprint applications for diverse organizations.
