Association of Service Providers for Employability and Career Training (ASPECT)... has over one hundred and twenty members with approximately 2,500 employees in 58 communities throughout British Columbia; some are private trainers and others are not for profit agencies.

ASPECT members are organizations in BC that provide community based employment and career training, designed to assist individuals in overcoming their barriers to employment.

BC Career Colleges Association (BCCCA)...  

British Columbia WorkInfoNet Society (BC WIN) ... is a "one-start on-line shop" being developed by and for users, producers, and providers of labour market and career information in British Columbia - and to link them to the national Canada WorkInfoNet network. Its mission is to make useful labour market and career information accessible to British Columbians.

BC WIN houses numerous occupational, career and labour market information resources for a variety of different audiences. Also included is a series of data bases which enable access to other key resources available both on and off-line. As well, BC WIN supports a number of communications vehicles for career practitioners – including this website, a listserv with over 600 members, and links to other news for career practitioners.

Canadian Association of Career Educators and Employers (CACEE)...  
Canada Career Consortium (CCC)... is a strategic alliance of partners from the private sector and government working together to develop and deliver quality, cost-effective career information products throughout Canada. The partners are:
WB01519_.gif (662 bytes)Canada Career Information Partnership (CCIP)... brings together provincial and territorial representatives from the career information field with links to schools, universities and colleges; community-based and service agencies, private career practitioners and career development organizations;
WB01519_.gif (662 bytes)The Alliance of Sector Councils (TASC)... is a coordinating body formed of some 26 sector councils. Sector councils bring together representatives from business, labour, education, and other professional groups in a neutral forum in order to comprehensively and cooperatively analyze and address sector-wide human resource issues;

Canadian Career Development Foundation...  

Career Education Society of British Columbia... is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and advancement of career education for youth. The CES got its start in the mid 1970s, as the Society for the Promotion and Advancement of Career Education in B.C. (S.P.A.C.E. B.C.). Today the CES consists of over 500 members from all parts of the province including teachers, counselors, support staff and school/district administrators, businesses large and small, provincial and federal government officials, students and concerned parents. This membership continues to grow every year, as the importance of career education is realized.

The Executive (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Membership Chair, Secretary) and the Board of Directors of CES are all unpaid voluntary positions. In addition to their own full-time work schedules, these people take additional time which they dedicate to career education issues because they understand the importance of career education and development.

Career/Life Services...  
Career Management Association of BC (CMA-BC)... exists to identify and move forward the interests and needs of organizations, associations and practitioners impacted by career development, career management and career information within the Province of British Columbia.

Membership in the Career Management Association of BC will be of interest to persons whose work has them supporting, coaching, counselling, facilitating and educating individuals towards meaningful work options and opportunities.

Members are; career counsellors, career practitioners, career educators, vocational rehabilitation specialists, community-based service providers, career information specialists, human resource professionals, business and community leaders, social enterprise and non-profit directors, program managers, resource developers, policy makers and industry leaders.
