Adult Learning Development Association 
ALDA provides a comprehensive range of services and programs for adults and youth who have suspected or diagnosed learning disabilities. Find information and resources, referrals, pre-screening, diagnostic and counselling services, volunteer tutors, employment assistance, support groups and more.

BCANDS provides a variety of support services and resources to help B.C.'s Aboriginal people with disabilities, and others associated with the disabled. The Health Resource Centre lends resources to First Nations communities throughout B.C.

BC Centre for Ability 
This non-profit organization provides programs and services to children, youth and adults with disabilities and their families. Programs and services include child development services, in-school support, family counselling, recreational programs and employment programs. Some services are available across B.C. Others are available only in the Lower Mainland.

BC Coalition of People with Disabilities 
This cross-disability advocacy organization works to raise the public's awareness of disability issues. Services include individual and group advocacy and sharing of information and self-help skills. Advocacy Access Program for people with disabilities who need help to apply for benefits, appeal decisions, or who want to learn how to advocate for themselves.

BC Society of Training for Health and Employment Opportunities (THEO BC) 
An accredited non-profit organization offering training, education and job placement services to the mental health and disabled communities across much of B.C. CPA provides services through its provincial divisions to people with spinal cord injuries. These services, offered at no charge to individuals and their families, include a peer support program and employment and education services. On the site find useful resources and links.

CARF - Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities 
This independent, not-for-profit organization accredits rehabilitation and human services providers nationally and internationally on request of a facility or program. Request a printed list of accredited providers in your region or do an online search of accredited providers. Services include various rehabilitation services, one-stop career centres and employment services.

Columbia Valley Employment Center

Employ-Ability (EA) Skills Development for Employment 
This 12-week program offers unique group and one-to-one learning opportunities for persons with physical disabilities, helping them develop employment skills. Participants can take the course in the classroom (B.C. centre is in Burnaby) or through long-distance learning technology. The program encompasses personal wellness, career development, job search skills and work experience.
